Darkside Pants

This is my second pair of Darkside pants, and I'm blown away by how comfy and durable they are. I got my first set 18 months ago and have not been gentle on them, and they are stil lgonig strong, just needed a second pair so I'm never without them on a ride.

I'm super sensitive about comfort (Autistic with sensory issues), so the fact I can't feel these pants digging into my tummy anywhere is just the best, even when my weight fluctuates throughout the year.

These are easily some of the most comfortable and functional mountain bike pants I’ve owned. They fit beautifully, moving naturally with the body without feeling bulky or restrictive on technical trails. The sizing is absolutely perfect, and the waistband sits exactly where it should without slipping during hard rides. Both the black and grey colours look sleek and match my gear perfectly. Performance-wise, they cut the wind efficiently on cold descents without overheating during tough climbs. Highly recommended!

Awesome MTB pants

Really great for small waist (great adjustment) and curves. High waisted enough too. Super comfy. Fabric felt good and breathable. Had their first ride at Stromlo and definitely will reach for them again. The tag read “Male / Unisex”. You might want to correct that. A really great pair of mtb pants.

Great fabric from cold start thru to tail end of a four hour ride when things are farken hot. Wearing pants on the trails was not as restrictive as one may have thought. I don't wear knee or shin guards and found there's protection from rocks being flicked up from front tire. Needless to say i look good.

Don't let the unisex nature of these pants out you off! As a female MTB coach and guide, I am sometimes in these pants all day whether it's for racing or coaching. They are incredibly comfortable and stretchy and the pull tabs allow you to pull it right in at the waist. The pockets are perfectly sized for phone, snacks and keys. I pretty much live in my Darkside pants and shorts and have just ordered another set!

The pants were a perfect fit!

I first bought a pair of the Darkside pants in 2020, I wear them all year round for riding and trail building. They have had more crashes in them than I'd like to admit.🤣 Despite that they only have one small tear in them. They were also my pants of choice for trekking through Thailand and Vietnam as they are so comfortable.
Just got my second pair which were delivered in no time.

Love these pants. I fit into S and XS as they are very stretchy and roomy for knee pads and hip pads. Also the Velcro fasteners at the waist gives you a lot of range (for fluctuating weight or a very big meal!) Material is lighter and stretchier than say Dharco pants, great for year round riding. Pockets are deep and in great positions for phone, tools and snacks.

Frankd never disappoints, quality, fit and makes you look faster than you are.

These are my first foray into mountain bike pants and I’m really enjoying them for winter riding. I’ve had no issues with comfort or overheating pedalling them around the perth hills this winter and they are now my go to choice for cooler days.
My only issue is the fit is a bit of a compromise for me. I’m 80kg and 181cm but ended up in an XL with the waist cinched in as far as it can go due to the large (my normal size) being a bit tight around the seat of the pants (ie my hips). This causes a bit of bunching around the waist although no discomfort. All that exposed Velcro does tend to catch on your jersey a bit though. If the larges were a bit bigger around the hips so I didn’t need to size up it would be 5 stars.

My daughter loves these pants as they’re such a great fit for her, nice length in the legs and great to have an adjustable waist band. Can’t wait to get her more pairs.

The fit seems just right, with the right amount of room for knee pads, and the right amount of stretch. Super comfy while riding. Nice and light for the warm Australian conditions, but still tough. I've had numerous crashes onto harsh gravel, and only a small hole has resulted in one knee. Value for money against other brands is awesome.

Best MTB pants I’ve ever used. Have worn a lot of brands but these are so comfy as an all day enduro pants. Even big knee pads for downhill fit well underneath due to the stretchy knee

Super comfy and seem very hard wearing (except for the velcro adjusters).
I found the adjustable waist tabs to be a little cheap (the velcro ripped off after a handful of winter rides) but if you get the right fit, you wont need the adjustment. Unfortunately I was between sizes and needed the velcro tabs cinched down tight, so now the pants hang down a little and can snag on the saddle :-(.
Zippers seem good quality and are still going strong. I like the little cord/tab things that help open the pockets easier.

Incredibly comfortable pants. Lightweight but protective from the elements with plenty of flexibility! Being lean, I rarely find clothes that fit well. But these pants are a great cut and the sizing is spot on. Pricing is very competitive.

Love riding in these, just like the Frankd shorts but perfect for cooler mornings.

My first foray into the world of MTB long pants and these are really good. Seriously comfortable and you don’t even know you’re wearing long pants when you’re peddling. My only criticism would be to offer a range of leg lengths to cater for people with “ducks disease” such as myself.

Raced, and crashed, for a whole season, never had an issue.
